Getting a Passport

Getting a Passport

Getting a passport is now as easy as 1, 2, 3.

Your usual vet will handle everything for you

Step 1. Your dog is microchipped.
The microchip must be inserted before the rabies vaccination. The microchip number and date of implantation will be recorded in the passport.

Step 2. The rabies vaccination.
Pets must be at least 3 months old before they can be vaccinated.
The date and details of the vaccination will be recorded in the passport.
Further vaccinations should be given before the previous one expires.

Step 3. Issue your passport
Your dog's passport will be inspected before your dog can return to the UK. Keep the passport safe and take it with you every time you travel with your dog. The passport will not be valid until after 21 days from the date of the first vaccination.

If you have any doubts about anything always ask your vet, or email us dogs away
